Clinical Intern

Everyone will experience times of difficulty throughout their lives and you should never have to go through them alone. I believe that when someone comes to therapy, they should feel heard and validated. Therapy is a collaborative process and I want to create a safe and collaborative space for my clients. I approach therapy through a collaborative and client-centered lens by listening to your unique experiences and what strengths you may bring. I am interested in narrative, experiential, and attachment based therapies. My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, children, relational issues, couples, adjustment issues, and grief and loss. Currently, I am working toward my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy program at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in Recreation Administration and Family Social Science. After graduation, I worked in Parks and Recreation where I was able to recognize how important building relationships was which resulted in me going back to school for what i always wanted to do—therapy. I grew up in the Twin Cities area and currently live in St. Paul with my partner, Andrew, and our dog. I enjoy spending time outside kayaking, biking, or relaxing by the water—especially my favorite, Lake Superior. I also like spending my free time baking, cooking, and reading. I am looking forward to meeting you and creating a relationship that will allow you to both grow and accomplish your goals.
